Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon water, then set aside the black garlic sauce.
- 2
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- 3
Add 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces, to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through, then remove the chicken and set aside.
- 4
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet, then add 1 large thinly sliced yellow onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened.
- 5
Stir in 1 pound fresh green beans and 2 minced cloves of fresh garlic, cooking for another 4-5 minutes until the green beans are crisp-tender.
- 6
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, add 6 minced cloves of black garlic and 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes, and pour the prepared sauce over everything, tossing to coat.
- 7
Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened and coated the ingredients, then season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper before serving hot.
