    Instructions

    1. 1

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

    2. 2

Add the thinly sliced 600 grams pork loin to the hot oil and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned on all sides, then remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.

    3. 3

Reduce heat to medium, add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and 3 whole star anise pods to the skillet, and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.

    4. 4

Add the thinly sliced 2 medium yellow onions and 2 large bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for 8-10 minutes until softened, stirring frequently.

    5. 5

Stir in 2 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika, 1 teaspoon crushed caraway seeds, 1 teaspoon salt, and 0.5 teaspoon black pepper, cooking for 1 minute until aromatic.

    6. 6

Return the browned pork to the skillet along with the thinly shredded 1 large head green cabbage, 1 cup chicken broth, and 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, mixing everything well.

    7. 7

Cover the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the pork is cooked through, stirring occasionally.

    8. 8

Remove the 3 whole star anise pods before serving, and optionally garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
