Heat 3 tablespoons of dende oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add 1 large chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves to the pot and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.

Stir in 1 chopped red bell pepper and 1 chopped green bell pepper, cooking for another 5 minutes until slightly tender.

Add 2 large chopped tomatoes and 800 grams of sliced hearts of palm to the pot, simmering for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

Pour in 400 ml of coconut milk, season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, and bring the stew to a gentle simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in 0.5 cup of chopped cilantro and the juice of 1 lime before serving.
